- First press came with an informational flyer to a special enka event with Maeda Yuki as one of the performers.
- The single was originally announced to be Maeda's graduation single from Hello! Project.
- The single was originally titled Nagai Tunnel (長いトンネル; Long Tunnel), but when the title of the single changed to Omae no Namida wo Ore ni Kure, the graduation announcement was removed from the record label's site. The reasons are unknown (wehter she changed her mind, or the agency changed their minds), but she would go on to be in Hello! Project until the Elder Club's graduation in March 2009.
