Niinuma Kisora (新沼希空) is a Japanese pop singer under Hello! Project as a member and leader of Tsubaki Factory. She first joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello Pro Kenshuusei on September 22, 2013.
She is set to graduate from Tsubaki Factory and Hello! Project at the end of the group's upcoming spring concert tour and retire from the entertainment industry.[1]

Early Life[]
Niinuma Kisora was born on October 20, 1999 in Aichi, Japan.
2013[]
In 2013, Niinuma auditioned the Morning Musume 12ki Member "Mirai Shoujo" Audition for an opportunity to join Morning Musume. She made it up to the final round, but on August 24, Tsunku announced via YouTube that they were not interested in adding new members to the group at that moment, leading to Niinuma failing to join the group in the end along with the 6 other finalists.[2]
September 22, Niinuma joined Hello Pro Kenshuusei along with the other audition finalists, becoming the 20th generation. On the same day, an introduction video of Niinuma was uploaded to the Hello Pro Kenshuusei YouTube channel.
On December 7, Niinuma was officially introduced as a Hello Pro Kenshuusei at the Hello Pro Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2013 ~12gatsu no Nama Tamago Show!~, alongside Yamaki Risa, Yokogawa Yumei, Oura Hirona, Dambara Ruru, Haga Akane, and Funaki Musubu. All seven girls did a dance performance of Juice=Juice's debut single "Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne".
2014[]
From March 15 to May 31, Niinuma participated in the Morning Musume '14's spring concert tour as a back dancer and the opening act alongside Yoshihashi Kurumi, Nomura Minami, Wada Sakurako, Inaba Manaka and Dambara Ruru.
2015[]
On April 29, it was announced that Niinuma would be debuting in a new unit named Tsubaki Factory alongside Yamagishi Riko, Kishimoto Yumeno, Asakura Kiki, Ogata Risa, and Tanimoto Ami.
2017[]
On October 20, Niinuma celebrated her 18th birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Niinuma Kisora Birthday Event 2017, featuring two shows at Square Ebara Hiratsuka Hall.
2018[]
On July 25, the comedian duo Joujou Gundan released their debut single "Nakama", which features Niinuma in the B-side "Sunao ni Narenai Sakuranbo" as a member of the fictional group Yamato Nadeshiko Semicolon along with Suzuki Keita and Akiyama Mao.[3][4]
On October 23, Niinuma celebrated her 19th birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Niinuma Kisora Birthday Event 2018, featuring two shows at TOKYO FM HALL.
2019[]
On May 16, it was announced that Niinuma had fallen down stairs on her way to work and at the hospital was diagnosed with a tailbone fracture and a buttock contusion, which would take one month for her to recover from. She was advised to avoid intense exercise and rest. As a result, Niinuma was absent from the rest of the Tsubaki Factory Live Tour 2019 Haru・Ranman shows and the Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 6 Gaiden ~Tasogare no Kamen~ musical.[5]
On October 23, Niinuma celebrated her 20th birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Niinuma Kisora Birthday Event 2019, featuring two shows at Shinjuku ReNY.
2020[]
On May 14, she opened up an official Instagram account.[6]
On October 20, she celebrated her 21st birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Niinuma Kisora Birthday Event 2020, featuring two shows at LANDMARK HALL.[7] In compliance with government policy, cheering, crowding, standing, and closeness in the venue were prohibited, and wearing masks were required to enter.
2021[]
On October 26, it was announced that Niinuma would be temporarily halting her activities. Niinuma complained of poor physical conditions a week prior to the announcement, and after consulting a doctor on October 25, she was diagnosed with allergic rash from generalized drug medicine. To improve the symptoms, the doctor said that it would take about two weeks of medical treatment, and it would take even more time for the rash to completely disappear, so the timing of resumption of her activities would be decided after further improvement in her health. Due to this, her birthday event scheduled for October 28 was postponed and she was also absent from the Hello! Project 2021 Aki "Zoku Kachou Fuugetsu" tour on October 31. As for the details of the forTUNE music event, to be held at Belle Salle Shinjuku Grand on October 30, would be announced as soon as decided.[8] On November 2, an update revealed that despite her symptoms are improving, the doctor diagnosed for her to continue the medical treatment until she is completely cured. Due to this, her WithLIVE Online Individual Talk, which was scheduled for November 3 and 6, was postponed to November 28,[9] and she would be absent from Tsubaki Factory's 8th single online release events that were held on November 3 and 6, and from the Hello! Project 2021 Aki "Zoku Kachou Fuugetsu" tour on November 7.[10] On November 12, a new update announced that Niinuma has fully recovered and have been lifted from medical treatment, and that she would be resuming activities on November 13 at the Hello! Project 2021 Aki "Zoku Kachou Fuugetsu" concert in Nagano.[11]
On November 19, she celebrated her 22nd birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Niinuma Kisora Birthday Event 2021, featuring two shows at LANDMARK HALL.[12]
On December 31, Niinuma was appointed as Tsubaki Factory's new sub-leader at the Tsubaki Factory Premium concert of the Hello! Project Year-End Party 2021 ~GOOD BYE & HELLO!~.
2022[]
On October 20, she celebrated her 23rd birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Niinuma Kisora Birthday Event 2022, featuring two shows at LANDMARK HALL.
2023[]
On January 4, it was announced that Niinuma complained of neck pain during the morning of the same day, and after consulting a doctor at the hospital, she was diagnosed with a sprained cervical spine. Since she needs neck immobilization and rest for at least 5 days, the resumption of her activities would be decided after consulting with a doctor while monitoring her progress. As result, she was absent from the January 4 and 8 Team B concerts of the Hello! Project 2023 Winter ~TWO OF US~ tour.[13] On January 11, an update announced that Niinuma would be resuming her activities at the Tsubaki Factory Major Debut 5 Shuunen Kinen FC Tour ~LAST PARADE~ live on January 13 after she consulted with a doctor and them confirming that her symptoms had improved and allowed her to return.[14]
On October 20, she celebrated her 24th birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Niinuma Kisora Birthday Event 2023, featuring two shows at HIKOSEN Theater.
On October 29, it was announced at the Tsubaki Factory Concert Tour 2023 Aki "Atarayo" that Niinuma will be succeeding Yamagishi Riko as the second leader of Tsubaki Factory following Yamagishi's graduation on November 6.[15]
On December 7, she took part in Hello! Project 25 Shunnen Kinen Special FC Event Vol.3 alongside Oda Sakura, Haga Akane, Yokoyama Reina, Ise Layla, Kawana Rin, Yamazaki Yuhane, Saito Madoka and Tsutsui Roko at Yamano Hall. This event covered the 2011-2016 era of Hello! Project's history.
2024[]
On January 26, it was announced that Niinuma will be graduating from Tsubaki Factory and Hello! Project at the end of the group's upcoming spring concert tour and retire from the entertainment industry afterwards.[1]
Personal Life[]
When Niinuma joined Tsubaki Factory, she was a first year high school student. She graduated from high school in March 2018.

- Asakura Kiki: She gets along best with Asakura Kiki in Tsubaki Factory. The pair is referred to as "Kikisora" a combination of their names "Kiki" and "Kisora".
- Ono Mizuho: She is good friends with Ono Mizuho.
Niinuma's given name, Kisora, consists of the kanji meaning "rare" (希; ki) and "sky" (空; sora). Her parents wanted to include "sora" in the last part of her name, and after going through 50 different characters from "a" to "m", they decided "Kisora" had the best kanji and sound.[16][17]
