Frequently, members of groups have colors assigned to them for their concert goods and sometimes outfits. As of Wonderful Hearts, all units and members began to have standard colors. Starting in 2012 member, colors became more prominent outside of concerts and have been featured in singles and albums.

Morning MusumeEdit

The members of Morning Musume were assigned an official image color from their spring 2005 tour onwards. Since January 2010, their group color from Hello! Project concerts has been Red. The group's color for the one-time unit Hello! Project Mobekimasu was Red.

℃-uteEdit

At their first event as a 5-member group, each of the members was given a new color used for merchandise, costumes, and the like. Prior to that, they all received a member color at the time of their debut. From January 2010 to September 2011 and from July 2012 till 2017, the year they will be disbanding, C-ute's image color for Hello! Project concerts was Yellow. For the one-shot unit Hello! Project Mobekimasu and the concerts during Mobekimasu's lifetime, ℃-ute's image color was Pink.

Juice=JuiceEdit

On February 25, through a YouTube video, Tsunku assigned each member of Juice=Juice a fruit. However, in promotions and merchandise, they use the colors most similar to their fruit. As of July 2013, their group color represented in concerts is Purple.
