Since it's founding, the annual Hello! Project Hina Fest has featured solo performances from a handful of Hello! Project members chosen by lottery. Since 2015, shuffle units have been added. The members of each unit are tasked with creating a name for the unit under which they performed and were credited with.
The group name is the family name of feudal lord Date Masamune (伊達政宗), who ruled the Tohoku region including what is now Ishida and Sasaki's home prefecture Miyagi, and the word shimai meaning "sisters."
The group name comes from Haga's full family name and the first two syllables of Tamura's family name - Haga and Tamura.
The group name comes from the first syllable of Kudo's given name and the first two syllables of Murota's given name - Haruka and Mizuki.
Patisserie (パティスリー) consists of Morning Musume '15 member Iikubo Haruna, Juice=Juice member Uemura Akari, and Country Girls member Shimamura Uta. They performed "Ajisai Ai Ai Monogatari" during the Morning Musume '15 Premium show.
The group name is the French word for a pastry and cake shop, as well as a pun for "party of three."
Suzuki Kanon ni Peaberry wo SoeteEdit
Suzuki Kanon ni Peaberry wo Soete (鈴木香音にピーベリーを添えて; Suzuki Kanon Served with Peaberry) consists of Morning Musume '15 members Suzuki Kanon and Sayashi Riho, and ANGERME member Wada Ayaka. They performed "Tanpopo" during the ANGERME and Juice=Juice Premium show.
The group name comes from Peaberry, a SATOYAMA unit that Wada and Sayashi previously were part of, and member Suzuki Kanon's full name.
The group name comes from the first letter of each of their given names - Saki, Yuka, and Sayuki.

trugranfulEdittrugranful (トゥルーグランフル) consists of ANGERME members Nakanishi Kana and Tamura Meimi, and Juice=Juice member Miyamoto Karin. They performed "Ren'ai Sentai Shitsu Ranger" during the Morning Musume '16 Premium show.
The group name comes from the English meanings of kanji in each of their given names - 実 from Meimi (芽実) meaning "truth," 香 from Kana (香菜) meaning "fragrance," and 佳 from Karin (佳林) meaning "beautiful."
AAAaEditAAAa (あああぁ; pronounced あフォー, A Four) consists of ℃-ute member Suzuki Airi, Morning Musume '16 member Haga Akane, Juice=Juice member Uemura Akari, and Kobushi Factory member Hamaura Ayano. They performed "Koi wo Shichaimashita!" during the Juice=Juice + Country Girls Premium show.
The group name comes from the members having the same first letter in their given names - A. The small form of "a" (ぁ) represents Haga as the smallest member in the group.
Tsubomi FactoryEditTsubomi Factory (つぼみファクトリー) consists of ANGERME member Kamikokuryo Moe, Kobushi Factory members Nomura Minami, Taguchi Natsumi, and Inoue Rei, and Tsubaki Factory member Niinuma Kisora. They performed "Aenai Nagai Nichiyoubi" during the ANGERME + Kobushi Factory Premium show.
The group name comes from Kobushi Factory and Tsubaki Factory, which everyone in the unit except for Kamikokuryo are members of. The "tsubomi" in the name means "flower bud," and refers to Kamikokuryo as she just debuted that year and her given name contains the kanji 萌 meaning "sprout."
6 PackEdit6 Pack (6パック) consists of ℃-ute member Yajima Maimi, Morning Musume '16 members Ishida Ayumi, Kudo Haruka, and Ogata Haruna, ANGERME member Katsuta Rina, and Tsubaki Factory member Kishimoto Yumeno. They performed "BE ALL RIGHT!" during the ℃-ute Premium show.
The group name was proposed by Ishida and Kudo to Yajima because most of the members have nice abs.

Shimadagawa (島田川) consists of ℃-ute member Yajima Maimi, Morning Musume '17 member Ikuta Erina, and Country Girls member Yanagawa Nanami. They performed "Zettai Tokeru Mondai X = ♥" during the Morning Musume '17 Premium show.
The group name is taken from the second kanji of each members' family name. As a SATOYAMA & SATOUMI movement event would also be taking place, the meaning of the kanji are related to nature - 島 from Yajima (矢島) meaning "island", 田 from Ikuta (生田) meaning "rice field", and 川 from Yanagawa (梁川) meaning "river".
The name is taken from the English meaning of the first kanji from each members' given names - 眞 from Mao (眞緒) meaning "real" and 愛 from Airi (愛理) meaning "love".
Okaileage (オカイレージ) consists of ℃-ute member Okai Chisato, ANGERME member Nakanishi Kana, and Kobushi Factory members Nomura Minami and Taguchi Natsumi. They performed "Koi ni Booing Buu!" during the ANGERME Premium show.
The group name is a combination of Okai's family name and ANGERME's former name S/mileage.
NakaZYXtai!!! (ナカジックスたいっ!!!; pronounced as Naka-zicks-tai) consists of ℃-ute member Nakajima Saki, ANGERME member Sasaki Rikako, Kobushi Factory member Ogawa Rena, and Tsubaki Factory members Asakura Kiki and Ono Mizuho. They performed "Iku ZYX! FLY HIGH" during the Tsugunaga Momoko Premium show.
Hagi-King consists of ℃-ute member Hagiwara Mai, Morning Musume '17 members Haga Akane and Kaga Kaede, ANGERME member Wada Ayaka, Kobushi Factory member Hamaura Ayano, and Tsubaki Factory member Onoda Saori. They performed "C\C (Cinderella\Complex)" during the ℃-ute Premium show. Due to poor health, Onoda was unable to participate in the performance.
The name is a combination of Hagiwara's family name and the former unit High-King.
