Hina Fes 2018 Logo

Since it began 2013, the annual Hello! Project Hina Fes has featured solo performances from a handful of Hello! Project members chosen by lottery. From 2015 onwards, shuffle units have been added. The members of each unit are tasked with creating a name for the unit under which they performed and were credited with.

Date ShimaiEdit

Date Shimai (伊達姉妹; Date Sisters) consists of Morning Musume '15 member Ishida Ayumi and ANGERME member Sasaki Rikako. They performed "DANCE & CHANCE" in the ℃-ute Premium show.

The unit name is the last name of feudal lord Date Masamune (伊達政宗), who ruled the Tohoku region including what is now Ishida and Sasaki's home prefecture Miyagi, and the word shimai meaning "sisters".[1]

HagatamuEdit

Hagatamu

Hagatamu (はがたむ) consists of Morning Musume '15 member Haga Akane and ANGERME member Tamura Meimi. They performed "Suki Sugite Baka Mitai" in the ANGERME & Juice=Juice Premium show.

The unit name is Haga's full family name and the first two syllables of Tamura's family name: Haga and Tamura.[2]

HamizuEdit

Hamizu

Hamizu (ハミーズ) consists of Morning Musume '15 member Kudo Haruka and ANGERME member Murota Mizuki. They performed "Yuujou ~Kokoro no Busu ni wa Naranee!~" in the Morning Musume '15 Premium show.

The unit name is the first syllable of Kudo's given name and the first two syllables of Murota's given name: Haruka and Mizuki.[3]

PatisserieEdit

Patisserie

Patisserie (パティスリー) consists of Morning Musume '15 member Iikubo Haruna, Juice=Juice member Uemura Akari, and Country Girls member Shimamura Uta. They performed "Ajisai Ai Ai Monogatari" in the Morning Musume '15 Premium show.

The unit name is the French word for a pastry shop or cake shop, as well as a pun for "party of three". It was chosen because the members all have sweet faces and personalities.[4]

Suzuki Kanon ni Peaberry wo SoeteEdit

Suzuki Kanon ni Peaberry wo Soete (鈴木香音にピーベリーを添えて; Suzuki Kanon Served with Peaberry) consists of Morning Musume '15 members Suzuki Kanon and Sayashi Riho, and ANGERME member Wada Ayaka. They performed "Tanpopo" in the ANGERME and Juice=Juice Premium show.

The unit name comes from Peaberry, a SATOYAMA movement unit Wada and Sayashi were previously part of, and member Suzuki Kanon's full name.[5]

SYSEdit

SYS

SYS (pronounced as シス, Sis) consists of ℃-ute member Nakajima Saki, and Juice=Juice members Takagi Sayuki and Miyazaki Yuka. They performed "Kawaii Kare" in the ℃-ute Premium show.

The unit name comes from the first letter of each of their given names: Saki, Yuka, and Sayuki.[2]

trugranful (トゥルーグランフル) consists of ANGERME members Nakanishi Kana and Tamura Meimi, and Juice=Juice member Miyamoto Karin. They performed "Ren'ai Sentai Shitsu Ranger" in the Morning Musume '16 Premium show.

The unit name comes from the English meanings of kanji in each of their given names: 実 from Meimi (芽実) meaning "truth"; 香 from Kana (香菜) meaning "fragrance"; and 佳 from Karin (佳林) meaning "beautiful."[6]

AAAaEdit

AAAa (あああぁ; pronounced as あフォー, A Four) consists of ℃-ute member Suzuki Airi, Morning Musume '16 member Haga Akane, Juice=Juice member Uemura Akari, and Kobushi Factory member Hamaura Ayano. They performed "Koi wo Shichaimashita!" in the Juice=Juice + Country Girls Premium show.

The unit name comes from the members having the same first letter in their given names: A. The small form of "a" (ぁ) represents Haga as the smallest member in the group.[6]

Tsubomi FactoryEdit

Tsubomi Factory (つぼみファクトリー) consists of ANGERME member Kamikokuryo Moe, Kobushi Factory members Nomura Minami, Taguchi Natsumi, and Inoue Rei, and Tsubaki Factory member Niinuma Kisora. They performed "Aenai Nagai Nichiyoubi" in the ANGERME + Kobushi Factory Premium show.

The unit name comes from Kobushi Factory and Tsubaki Factory, which everyone in the unit except for Kamikokuryo are members of. The "tsubomi" in the name means "flower bud", and refers to Kamikokuryo as she debuted that year and her given name contains the kanji 萌 meaning "sprout".[6]

6 PackEdit

6 Pack (6パック) consists of ℃-ute member Yajima Maimi, Morning Musume '16 members Ishida Ayumi, Kudo Haruka, and Ogata Haruna, ANGERME member Katsuta Rina, and Tsubaki Factory member Kishimoto Yumeno. They performed "BE ALL RIGHT!" in the ℃-ute Premium show.

The unit name was proposed by Ishida and Kudo to Yajima because most of the members have nice abs.[6]

ShimadagawaEdit

Shimadagawa (島田川) consists of ℃-ute member Yajima Maimi, Morning Musume '17 member Ikuta Erina, and Country Girls member Yanagawa Nanami. They performed "Zettai Tokeru Mondai X = ♥" in the Morning Musume '17 Premium show.

The unit name is taken from the second kanji of each members' family name, which also have meanings related to nature as a SATOYAMA & SATOUMI movement event also took place: 島 from Yajima (矢島) meaning "island"; 田 from Ikuta (生田) meaning "rice field"; and 川 from Yanagawa (梁川) meaning "river".[7]

REAL LOVEEdit

REAL LOVE consists of ℃-ute member Suzuki Airi and Tsubaki Factory member Akiyama Mao. They performed "Glass no Pumps" in the ANGERME Premium show.

The name is taken from the English meaning of the first kanji from each members' given names: 眞 from Mao (眞緒) meaning "real", and 愛 from Airi (愛理) meaning "love".[7]

OkaileageEdit

Okaileage (オカイレージ) consists of ℃-ute member Okai Chisato, ANGERME member Nakanishi Kana, and Kobushi Factory members Nomura Minami and Taguchi Natsumi. They performed "Koi ni Booing Buu!" in the ANGERME Premium show.

The unit name is a combination of Okai's family name and ANGERME's former name S/mileage.[7]

NakaZYXtai!!!Edit

NakaZYXtai!!! (ナカジックスたいっ!!!; pronounced as Naka-zicks-tai) consists of ℃-ute member Nakajima Saki, ANGERME member Sasaki Rikako, Kobushi Factory member Ogawa Rena, and Tsubaki Factory members Asakura Kiki and Ono Mizuho. They performed "Iku ZYX! FLY HIGH" in the Tsugunaga Momoko Premium show.

The unit name is a combination of Nakajima's family name, the former unit ZYX, and the song title "Kanojo ni Naritai!!!".[7]

Hagi-KingEdit

Hagi-King consists of ℃-ute member Hagiwara Mai, Morning Musume '17 members Haga Akane and Kaga Kaede, ANGERME member Wada Ayaka, Kobushi Factory member Hamaura Ayano, and Tsubaki Factory member Onoda Saori. They performed "C\C (Cinderella\Complex)" in the ℃-ute Premium show. Due to poor health, Onoda was unable to participate.[8][9]

The name is a combination of Hagiwara's family name and the former unit High-King.[7]

2018 UnitsEdit

2018 was the first year in which the units were left unnamed.

3nin GumiEdit

3nin Gumi consists of ANGERME members Wada Ayaka and Nakanishi Kana, and Ichioka Reina. They performed "Rottara Rottara" in the Hello! Project 20th Anniversary!! Premium show.

4nin GumiEdit

Hinafest2018unit

4nin Gumi consists of Morning Musume '18 members Fukumura Mizuki and Morito Chisaki, ANGERME member Takeuchi Akari, and Juice=Juice member Uemura Akari. They performed "Independent Girl ~ Dokuritsu Joshi de Aru Tame ni" in the Morning Musume 20th Anniversary!! Premium show.

5nin GumiEdit

5nin Gumi consists of ANGERME members Katsuta Rina, Kamikokuryo Moe, and Funaki Musubu, and Juice=Juice members Miyazaki Yuka and Kanazawa Tomoko. They performed "Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai" in the ANGERME & Juice=Juice Premium show. Due to viral gastroenteritis, Kanazawa was unable to participate.[10]

6nin GumiEdit

6nin Gumi consists of Morning Musume '18 members Sato Masaki and Haga Akane, Juice=Juice member Miyamoto Karin, Tsubaki Factory member Onoda Saori, and Takase Kurumi and Kiyono Momohime. They performed "Suki yo, Junjou Hankouki." in the Morning Musume '18 Premium show.
